It’s not always easy to get things done when communication in this field is a challenge. Chef Subba has overcome that challenge and now offers his culinary expertise to one of the known diners in Juhu, Mumbai. A well experienced chef with roots from Nepal is working towards making his mark with his cooking skills in the city where competition is at its peak. He specializes in Asian Cuisine and understands the fine combinations of ingredients, flavors, taste and variations that lead to a fine dining experience.
Here’s interviewing Chef Subba.
Your role at RUKA, Mumbai.
I am working at Ruka as a Sr.CDP from the last one year.
In the absence of the Sou Chef, I am handling the kitchen,handling the staffing, menu planning and maintaining the hygiene.
Subba's inspiration to become a chef.
There were many things that inspired me to become a chef. Firstly all I want to say that very frankly, before becoming a chef I worked as a kitchen steward. At that time, I always looked to my chefs on how they worked and how they got good compliments from guests. And those things inspired me to become a chef. My chefs always supported me by giving me good compliments which is what inspired me to become a chef.
That moment when you decided to become a chef.
I know I wanted to become a chef on that time when I got a golden opportunity to work in the kitchen.
Explain that feeling when your customers praise you.
On that time I feel very proud and I got satisfied with my work.
Challenges that you have faced.
In today's world as we all know that without qualification and communication, it is very difficult to achieve this post. I got so many hurdles in my long term journey, but then also i didn't get disappointed and I continued with my hard work by not letting go of my passion, and now I am here.I have faced many physical, mental and financial challenges during my journey. Sometimes my seniors were not satisfied with my work but that made me work hard without losing my passion.
